Meet the Winners of the Global Jewish Teachers Award

Eight teachers from seven countries will be honored in Jerusalem in October 2026 for their contribution to Jewish education.

Eight outstanding Jewish educators from Mexico, Russia, Argentina, France, the United Kingdom, the United States and South Africa have been named recipients of the Global Jewish Teachers Award 2026.

The award is an initiative of Israel’s Ministry for Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism, The Jerusalem Post and UnitEd, in partnership with Herzog College and the World Zionist Organization’s Department of Education. It recognizes exceptional Jewish educators who strengthen Jewish identity, deepen connections to Israel, and help shape Jewish communities around the world.

Global Award Recipients

  • Meir Bunytow – Beit Hayladim School, Mexico
  • Marina Grushevskaya – Lauder Etz Chaim School, Russia
  • Raquel Hakim – Yeshurun Torá, Argentina
  • Rahel Israeloevitch – Yabne Henri Schilli, France
  • Dina Jacobson – Yavneh College, United Kingdom
  • Anat Kampf – Margolin Hebrew Academy, USA
  • Tal Kattan – King David Primary School Linksfield, South Africa
  • Rabbi Zvi Lew – Yeshiva University High School for Girls, USA

Honored in Jerusalem

The award winners will be honored at the Global Jewish Educators Conference in Jerusalem, taking place from 12 – 15 October, 2026. Each recipient will also receive a $2,500 prize from the Mayberg Foundation’s Jewish Educator Impact Fund, further recognizing their contribution to Jewish education and the Jewish future.
