Yemei Iyun B’Tanakh

Herzog College’s annual Bible Study Days take place every year with lectures by some of the world’s top Tanakh experts. Thousands of Tanakh teachers and Bible enthusiasts travel from all over Israel and from overseas to attend this popular “Festival of Tanakh”. 

In-Person Programs in English at the 2023 Yemei Iyun B’Tanakh

The 2023 Yemei Iyun B’Tanakh will take place from Sunday July 16 – Wednesday, July 19 at the Herzog College campus in Alon Shvut. In addition to the usual exciting 4-day schedule of Tanakh lectures in Hebrew, there will be a parallel English-language program that will include:

• A full schedule of Tanakh lectures, presented by world-acclaimed scholars at Herzog College, including English lectures on Sunday July 16 & Monday July 17;
• A Tanakh Tiyul touring day in English to explore “Daily Life in Tanakh Times” on Tuesday, July 18 (SOLD OUT);
• An evening of Tanakh Shiurim: “Leil Tanakh” in Modi’in in English and Hebrew on Tuesday, July 18 (click here for details);
• Leilot haTanakh in Jerusalem with shiurim in English and Hebrew on Thursday July 20 (click here for details);
• A Jewish Educators’ Day on Wednesday, July 19, in partnership with Yeshiva University’s Azrieli Graduate School and Bar-Ilan’s Lookstein Center. The program will focus on educational issues, including workshops and presentations designed for Jewish Studies and Tanakh teachers. Jewish education experts will present outstanding traditional and cutting-edge educational programming, and encourage discussion between the teachers. Virtual Program in English 2023

• The on-line English-language program will include 32 recorded lectures and pre-recorded guided tours, including the full program of English lectures that will be filmed on Sunday, Monday and Wednesday (the Jewish Educators’ Day sessions).
• All participants in the Yemei Iyun will receive links to Hurban-related lectures and tours appropriate for viewing on Tisha B’Av in both Hebrew and English.
